A community herbalist and mother, Emily grew up in the Sierra Nevada foothills and now lives in Bolinas, California (unceded homeland of the Coast Miwok). She has a BA in psychology from Stanford and has recently studied herbalism at the Berkeley Herbal Center, the California School of Herbal Studies and the Now & Then Herb School.

Always a plant lover, she is dedicated to helping others support their healing journeys with herbal medicine: the people’s medicine. She believes plants can provide accessible and empowered care for the mind and body. She practices with the mindset that everyone deserves love and healing.

She specializes in herbal allies for both the nervous system and the reproductive system (female assigned at birth), including herbs to support hormonal balance, fertility, and the perinatal period. Bridging these two body systems, she is most knowledgeable on supporting the emotional health of pregnant and postpartum people. Also, she is learning more about herbs for children and babies, and she is excited to share that information with interested parents.

Danielle’s journey into plant medicine began during a challenging period in her life when her beloved dog was diagnosed with bone cancer. Given only weeks to live, she turned to herbal medicine in search of hope. With a carefully designed diet and herbal regimen, her dog not only defied the prognosis but lived two years longer than expected. Though this was a difficult time, it deeply inspired Danielle to explore the power of herbal medicine.

As her passion for plant medicine grew, she enrolled at the Berkeley Herbal Center, where she completed both Village Herbalist programs. This experience reinforced her dedication to holistic healing. Danielle has always been drawn to helping others in a healthcare setting. Her early career as an EMT in Sonoma County led her to patient care, assisting in the neonatal intensive care unit at UCSF, where she spent 10 years working with the neonatal population. Alongside this, she also worked as a Pilates instructor, helping people heal through conscious movement and harness a deeper connection with mind and body.

Now living in Hawaii on the beautiful garden island of Kauai, Danielle is preparing to open her own clinical practice within her community. She envisions a collaborative approach, integrating plant medicine with other healthcare professionals. Passionate about holistic well-being, Danielle is eager to work with individuals seeking healing, balance, and a deeper connection to their health.

After studying psychology and working for over five years in mental health clinics serving the Latine community, Marjorie pursued formal training in herbalism in San Diego and completed her studies at the Berkeley Herbal Center, deepening her connection to people and plants. She specializes in anxiety, digestion, menstrual health, and prenatal care, with an approach focused on restoring balance through nutrition, emotional care, and lifestyle practices. Outside of her practice, Marjorie is passionate about animals, dance, and community care. She completed an apprenticeship with the Botanical Bus, a bilingual mobile herb clinic in Sonoma County, and continues to collaborate with its team of herbalists to promote social justice through accessible, equitable, and affordable holistic healthcare to under-served communities.
